Education Assistant

Eden’s Schools Team works with over 45000 learners each year and we’re looking for an Education Assistant (16 hours/week, term-time only) to provide practical and logistical support for our on-site programmes. The job is shared with another Education Assistant who works 24 hours/week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with groups of young people and their teachers.  You need to be happy working on your own initiative to support the Schools Team's objectives. 

You will be responsible for the arrival and welcome of school groups, this means speaking to young people in groups of 10 -200 and ranging in age from 4 – adult.  The role includes coordination of our beautiful classrooms, preparing and maintaining props and resources and setting up for education workshops and events – so lots of lifting and shifting and occasional cleaning too. There will also be some admin/computer-based work associated with the school visits. It’s unlikely to be suitable for someone whose ambition is a teaching role.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. The cost of this will be met by Eden.
