Description

If you are passionate about reconnecting people of all ages with the natural world and want to help the Trust take its engagement work to a new level, we would like to hear from you!

Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity. It has more than 37,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres. It is one of the largest of the 46 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.

This role will advise and support the Visitor Centres education teams and will work closely with our outdoor learning team. We are seeking ways to extend our current programme of formal school activities, informal holiday activities, birthday parties, preschool delivery and family-focused events.

We are looking for an inspirational mentor with the ability to support and motivate a geographically spread team. You will need to be an excellent team player, with an ability to work across teams. Line management does form part of the duties; however, this post is substantially an advisory role and will require you to work with the line managers to ensure our outcomes are achieved.
