America’s #1 conservation service organization seeks an Education and Service Learning Manager for our NH Conservation Corps Program located in Allenstown, NH.  This role will develop and maintain educational partnerships with schools, agencies and community organizations and to provide direct supervision and mentorship for up to 30 Corps members as they develop and implement environmental and outdoor education curriculum and activities throughout their year of service.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the education service activity of program
  • Design and implement environmental education training programs
  • Provide support, counsel, and advice to corps members
  • Provide field-based supervision and technical and logistical support
  • Plan and facilitate group building activities designed to encourage the development and maintenance of a healthy residential community including organizing and participating in weekly community meetings
  • Act as a liaison between agency coordinators and corps members
  • Complete general program administrative duties shared by all staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, environmental education or related field, required
  • 2 -4 years classroom teaching and curriculum development experience preferred required
  • Community organizing skills and strong capacity to work in a team
  • Proven supervisory, organizational, and program development skills
  • Experience with service-learning methodologies preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Experience living and working in a residential setting preferred
  • Current Wilderness First Responder and CPR Certification
  • Valid drivers license and MVR that meets SCA standards and willingness to travel regionally
  • Ability to meet SCA’s criminal background check standards
