Ecologist/Senior Ecologist

Ecologist/Senior Ecologist wanted to join our hard-working ecology team.

Salary: Depending on experience, plus pension.

ECOSA requires a knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated individual to join our team based in South Hampshire.  This full-time permanent post will entail a range of field and office based activities including Phase 1 and 2 surveys, report writing, EcIA, EPSM licence applications, habitat/species management plans, CSH/BREEAM assessments, mitigation design/implementation, project management and direct client liaison.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a higher-level qualification in a relevant subject;
• Be a full member of CIEEM;
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' experience in the ecological consultancy industry;
• Have a clear understanding of budget management;
• Demonstrate sound identification skills across a range of species groups;
• Be fully competent in undertaking Phase 1 and 2 surveys;
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of ecological and planning legislation and policy;
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Have the ability to communicate confidently with clients;
• Hold protected species licences - ideally for bats and great crested newt or dormouse;
• Hold a clean UK driving licence and be willing to use their own car.
