We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Ecologist to join the team in our Chepstow office. Your main duties will be as follows:-
Undertaking ecology appraisals (extended Phase 1 habitat surveys)
Protected Species Assessment and Survey
Preparing written survey reports including ecology appraisals, assessments and protected species audits
Planning and implementing survey work programmes
Ecological Clerk of Works during construction projects.
We are looking for someone who, ideally, has the following skills and experience:-
Educated to degree level in BSc degree in ecology or closely related discipline,
Full Driving Licence
Botanical species identification and ability to accurately classify habitats
Knowledge of legally protected species survey and conservation
Experience of using bat detectors and bat analysis software
Good level of literacy and ability to prepare clear technical reports.
Good verbal communication skills
Bird identification skills would be useful but are not essential.
