An exciting opportunity to work in our highly regarded Ecology team.
The successful applicant will work as an ecologist within the ecology team and will undertake field surveys, write reports and assist in the general workload of the ecology team. The successful applicant will also assist with the design of surveys.
Essential
- A degree in Ecology or related subject, with a minimum of 1 year previous survey and/or consultancy experience
- Ability to undertake Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and produce ecological reports
- Full driving licence.
- Willingness to carry out surveys during unsociable hours
Highly Desirable
- Working towards one or more protected species survey licences (CCW or Natural England)
- Good written communication skills
- Working knowledge of environmental legislation
Desirable
- A working knowledge of mitigation principles and the planning system as it affects ecological issues
- Associate membership of IEEM
Undertake a variety of ecological surveys and produce associated reports. Assist with survey and miigation design and other duties as necessary.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment with good organisational skills. Ecological survey work will involve working at unsociable hours.
