Avian Ecology Ltd is a specialist environmental consultancy dedicated to meeting the challenge of integrating business development, the environment and conservation. We offer consultancy services for schemes ranging from road schemes and wind farms through to housing developments and barn conversions.

Due to business growth, we are recruiting for an Ecologist, primarily based in the Northwich office, to undertake various ecological surveys, analysis and associated reports using Microsoft office.

The ideal individual will be degree qualified with a good understanding of field survey methodologies, conservation legislation, the EIA process and an awareness of mapping software. They will work autonomously whilst demonstrating confident verbal and written communication skills. A knowledgeable and decisive approach to projects is essential as is the provision of pragmatic and positive advice to clients.

As the role involves some field-based work across the UK, the successful applicant must be a car owner holding a full drivers licence.

Being a member of IEEM and holding a protected species licence are advantageous. A flexible attitude to learning new skills and taking on more responsibility is paramount as the consultancy expands.
