Contract type: This is a Permanent Role and can be based at offices on the Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire border, with projects Nationwide

Hours: 39 hours per week with TOIL

Salary:  Competitive salary based on experience 

The Opportunity

Landscape Science Consultancy has a unique exciting opportunity within our growing and experienced team for a keen, self-motivated ecologist. As a small Consultancy, you will develop and gain valuable experience of the whole project lifecycle across a range of disciplines. With developing project management skills, the ideal candidate will be looking to develop a new challenge in a small but innovative team. With progression there is opportunity to take a significant role in the consultancy, overseeing project management, client relationships and mentoring junior staff members. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to build on existing knowledge and skill sets, with ongoing career development opportunities.

You must be willing to continue to promote our high standards in the profession, focussing on providing our loyal and diverse client base with solutions through collaboration, based on technically robust and innovative design whilst also achieving net gain. This will require an ability to draw on the knowledge of others within the team and consolidate your own experience. It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent time management, fieldwork and report writing skills and to be proactive within the team and be able to delegate as appropriate. Other desirable skills would be an ability to critically review your own and others output and to have confidence to manage your own and others workload on time and in budget;

The ideal candidate will have:

CIEEM membership;

Protected species licences: minimum Bats level 1 and Great Crested Newts.

Proven and demonstrable track record of written and verbal communication and a close attention to detail

Have a full clean driving licence and use of own vehicle

CSCS card desirable
