Bristol has long been a leader in sustainability and is the only UK city to secure the title of European Green Capital. Bristol City Council, and partners around the city, have declared an Ecological Emergency and are developing a Nature Recovery Strategy to co-ordinate an effective response.

Bristol City Council plays a key role in the ecology of the city and teams across the council are working to protect and restore nature. We are creating this new role of Ecological Emergency Project Manager to help us co-ordinate BCC activity, link it with work by partners and secure additional resources.
