Are you a Québec resident between the ages of 18 and 30 with a passion for the environment?

Katimavik Youth Services offers you the chance to participate in an environmental and sustainable development internship program.

Through the Eco-Internship program, you will:

  • Gain practical experience in environmental work
  • Practice and apply the principles of eco-citizenship and volunteer service
  • Address environmental challenges in different areas of Québec
  • Enjoy a fulfilling life experience

Scheduled departure dates for 2008-2009 (six-month program) :

6 month program
Cohort 1 : from June 16, 2008 to December 16, 2008 –
in progress
Cohort 2 : from September 15, 2008 to April 7, 2009 –
in progress
Cohort 5 : May 26, 2009 to November 17, 2009

3 month program
Cohort 3 : from September 15, 2008 to Décember 16, 2008 –
in progress
Cohort 4 : January 6, 2009 to April 7, 2009
Cohort 6 : May 26, 2009 to August 21, 2009
Cohort 7: August 18, 2009 to November 17, 2009

What are the eligibility criteria?

  • You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • You must be a resident of Québec
  • You must be between the ages of 18 and 30 (at the time of departure)
  • You must hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) or be a university student
  • You must show a strong interest in environmental issues and sustainable development
  • You must pass a criminal record check
  • You must complete a medical form
  • Be able to travel, live in a group setting, work 35 hours per week and perform tasks of a physical nature
