Echo Parakeet Recovery Programme

This project currently has an opportunity for a science graduate with a keen interest in conservation to gain valuable experience working on an Echo Parakeet recovery project.

The work will involve species management including nest box management, population monitoring, nest accessing, trapping, handling and ringing of Echo parakeet as well as report writing and data collection.

Candidates need to be available for a minimum of seven months from September 2012 to February 2013. Closing date for applications is the 21st July 2012.

Accommodation, work permits and field transport are provided.
