The Dune Restoration Specialist – Crew Leader will manage and supervise up to a 6 person crew to implement invasive species control at sites located along the Lake Michigan shoreline in the Northwest Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Control methods include both manual removal (via steel spade) and chemical treatment (via appropriately-applied herbicide). This individual will work with employees of The Nature Conservancy (TNC), National Park Service at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (SLBE), Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy (GTRLC), Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), and volunteers to carry out invasive species management benefitting dune and shoreline restoration. This is a full-time, temporary position.
