Duke of Burgundy Project Officer
(Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund)

Three year contract - part time 1.5 days per week
Salary £25,229 - £29,288 pa pro-rata (dependent on experience)
plus pension contribution

We require a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to co-ordinate and deliver a new three year project in the South East of England to educate and train the general public, volunteers and landowners about the importance of the Duke of Burgundy and to encourage action to conserve this rare butterfly.

Duties include: organising events to recruit new volunteers, working with landowners and supporting existing volunteers; training on butterfly recording, monitoring and practical conservation management; implementing a programme of to improve habitat condition and monitoring to access the impact of work carried out.

A sound background in species and habitat conservation and experience of working with volunteers is essential.
