The Utility Documentation Manager is responsible for managing all documentation between SolarCity and our customers, ensuring that it complies with the relevant requirements of over 100 utilities (and administering bodies) throughout the U.S. The manager works closely with the SolarCity Sales team and their customers to ensure a smooth transition through the initial contract signing. The Documentation Manager is also responsible for the management of the Residential Credit Desk which carries out credit checks on prospective leasing customers. The position will require strong project management, research, document administration, and relationship skills.
The Documentation Manager interacts daily with internal teams, primarily in Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, and Customer Care Teams, as well as with external customers and utility personnel. The ideal candidate must be able to listen and observe, quickly identify the crux of a problem, independently research the issue, and clearly summarize what is needed. Documentation Manager leads a small team of 6, and will have resources available for understanding the role and ongoing questions, but the candidate must be able to organize and prioritize their own workflow independently and work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision. |
