Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi invites applications for the post of Documentation Associates, to work in the centre’s Knowledge Resource Centre (Library) which documents books, journals, news clippings and audio-video on environment and also compiles various information products on science and environment. Place of work: New Delhi
Eligibility:
Graduates or Post Graduates preferably in science/ecology/environment with familiarity in environment and conservation issues. A background in Library and Information Science is desirable. Prior experience of working in news clippings, audiovisual section of NGOs/ developmental organisations would be an added advantage. Must possess good communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and verbal. Must possess working knowledge of MS- Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint etc.
Job Description: - Scanning, marking, abstracting news clippings on environment and other developmental issues in print and electronic/digital editions of newspapers.
- Electronic cataloguing of news clippings, books, photos, films, journals etc.
- Independently handle, print and electronic/digital information services and products of the Knowledge resource centre.
- Use of Internet to search for environmental news.
