· Supporting students’ learning by conducting regular tutorials, individual and group, via telephone, email, the VLE and VOIP calls.· Marking and giving feedback on students’ summative assessment coursework assignments.· Conducting seminars online via the VLE chatroom, VOIP telephone and video conferences.· Facilitating and moderating student interaction around curriculum activities on the VLE.· Taking part in online workshops advising students on their theses. Curriculum materials· Developing, editing and preparing teaching and learning activities, including:-· Lectures and papers;· Practical activities;· Interactive learning processes;· Formative assessment quizzes, self-tests, surveys etc. Attendance at CAT· During a part of each module delivered there (i.e. each month except August & December). At these times you will: -· Attend staff meetings, meetings with DL colleagues, and meetings with the DL Student Support Officer.· Deliver occasional specialist lectures to the CAT-attending students. Liaison· You will liaise with the DL Programme Leader, the Head of School, fellow tutors and administrative and student support staff. Person specification Essential qualities· Post graduate academic qualification in one of the following: Architecture, Environment, Energy· HE teaching experience, including lecturing and close support of students’ learning· The ability to prioritise work and to work to deadlines· The ability both to collaborate successfully as a team member and to work independently· Excellent communications skills· Computer literacy Desirable qualities· HE Distance Learning tuition· Experience of use of a Virtual Learning Environment· Professional experience in one of the key areas of the course: Architecture, Environment, Energy· A strong interest in the other areas of the course
