23/08/14
This one day course provides an introduction to moths; their identification, natural history and conservation. With around 800 species of larger moth in the UK there is plenty of variety, including those brightly coloured and distinctive to those that are smaller, browner and an identification challenge!
This course is aimed at anyone with an interest in moths but has little or no knowledge to those who are already moth-watching and want a little more 'methodology' and knowledge. The afternoon will be a mix of presentations and activities (classroom and field-based) whlist the evening session, after the pub meal, will be spent moth-trapping around the Centre as darkness falls.
This Course runs from 14.00 to 22.30 and the price includes an evening pub meal and an FSC 'Guide to the Day-flying Moths of Britain' chart.
