- Most important, it has many beautiful locations; wildlife and habitats of international importance and lots of natural and commercial attractions
Progress to date includes:
- 16,500,000 trees planted
- 6,600 hectares of woodland created
- Over 400km of pathways created
- 300km of road corridors improved
- Almost 1,100ha of derelict land and landfill sites treated
- 50km of hedgerows created or restored
- Over 2,100 community events organised or supported
