For over 50 years the Captive Animals' Protection Society (CAPS) has been actively campaigning on behalf of animals used for entertainment. We are recruiting for a dedicated individual to head the charity as well as actively participate in its campaign work. The post is full time and based in Manchester.
Working to end the use of animals in circuses, zoos and the exotic pet trade, our focus is on an effective combination of campaigning, political lobbying, research and undercover investigations.
Commitment to the work of CAPS and support for the general philosophy of animal rights is essential. You will have previous campaign experience and be a great communicator, effectively presenting our work to the media, public and politicians.
Leading our small but energetic team, you will plan and co-ordinate campaign work and investigations as well as participate in day-to-day campaigns. You will also oversee financial control of the charity.
Closing date 23 August. Interviews mid-September.
