Description
The Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre (ADWMC) is a key element of the Government’s goal to be a world leader in sustainable waste management and resource recovery. It is the lead agency charged with all aspects of controlling and co-ordinating the management of waste for the entire Emirate, with formulating, developing and implementing an integrated waste management strategy and with increasing the capacity of the local waste management industry.
Job Description:
The Support Services Department (SSD) provides essential logistical back-up to all other Centre Departments and Divisions. The SSD serves to provide logistical support in all aspects of the Centre’s business activities within the waste management sector - business development, finance, purchasing, administration, human resources (HR), recruitment services and legal advice. Manage the Support Services Department. The position will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for planning, organising and administering executive support to Centre management and across all facets of Centre activities. The position will oversee and co-ordinate the administrative and human resource activities across all Centre Divisions and Departments, involving significant programme planning and execution.
Candidate profile:
Excellent organisation and administration skills, including proven experience in co-ordinating, programming, leading and managing support service teams and multi-disciplinary teams. Demonstrated experience in overseeing programme execution within budget and agreed time frames. Demonstrated experience in providing high level advice on human resources, financial and other logistical functions to senior management. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and proven ability to consult, communicate and liaise with senior management, support staff and government agencies. Good comprehension of financial management systems, including monitoring and reporting of budgets. Proven capability and expertise in co-ordinating the timely preparation and delivery of agenda papers, minutes of meetings, basic correspondence and reports and of organising high profile meetings and conferences. Formal qualifications in business and administration or similar. High levels of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products. At least 10 years of experience in the administration of support service teams. Post-graduate qualifications in business administration, human resource management, economics, accounting or similar.
Package:
Total remuneration: Grade 1, Abu Dhabi Government. The remuneration package includes annual salary, accommodation allowance, medical insurance and annual leave loading
