The Campaign Department of The Humane Society of the United States, is seeking a Director for its Puppy Mills Campaign. The position will direct all activities of the Puppy Mills campaign including investigations, target decisions, media outreach plans, campaign strategy, and budgetary responsibility. It also oversees the staff of the Puppy Mills campaign and the Puppy MillsTask Force. Other duties include, but are not limited to primary media spokesperson for the Puppy Mills campaign, working with the Office of Philanthropy to gain funding for Puppy Mills campaign. A Bachelor’s degree and at least four years’ experience in directing campaign strategy and implementation is preferred. Also required are excellent verbal and written communication skills, media experience in multiple venues (television, radio, press conferences and print), strong knowledge of animal protection; puppy mills in particular and a willingness to travel.
