Description

My clients is a technological market leader in the micro inverter space who has developed a product that will rival any in the market. They have a strong product and sales pipeline across America and Canada and are looking to develop their market space and ensure that they can meet the strong demand in the region. They have a world recognised product that enables a cost Vs benefit ratio making them highly competitive in the market.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for a technically minded sales director to sell their inverter across Canada and parts of the USA. The position will require extensive travel in order to develop strong B2B relationships in order to expand the growth of the company. You will be responsible for team development and training along with monitoring your sales managers activities in the region.

Responsibilities

  • ·         Demonstrating you management skills you will train and be responsible for a team of sales managers in the region encouraging the regional growth and development of your team.
  • ·         You will be a director in an international company responsible for your teams development and activities
  • ·         This position will involve travelling throughout midland USA and Canada in order to attract new business for the sales of inverters to renewable energy companies
  • ·         You will use your strong sales skills and technical training to explain the key components of the product
  • ·         You will be required to developed relationships with new clients, negotiate and carry through the business process with key clients
  • ·         Train the customers on the product in order for them to best promote and utilize the inverter for the end buyer
  • ·         With a proven track record of closing deals with clients and gaining strong connections in the market you will develop and grow the business with the area
  • ·         Perform to the highest standard in order to encourage brand awareness and quality awareness for the company
  • ·         Have the opportunity to lead a team of sales consultants within then midland USA and Canada market and encourage their sales through training and implementation of your sales techniques

Education

A relevant engineering degree with an MBA a bonus.

Core Requirements

  • ·         At least 8-12 years experience in a sales role
    • ·         1-2 years senior management experience
    • ·         2-4 years experience working in the solar industry with a focus on B2B sales preferably in the inverter market
    • ·         Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships
    • ·         Able and willing to travel throughout the USA and Canada
    • ·         Experience leading and training a sales team a bonus

General requirements

  • ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Strong presentation skills
  • ·         A desire to work in a target driven role

Key Skills:-

Solar PV sales experience, inverter experience, team leading, training and strong negotiation skills required, Canada, America.
