My client largest solar module manufacturers in Europe and a leading supplier of photovoltaic systems for large-scale solar power plants.
Position Overview:
You will be in charge of the Research and Development department in their photovoltaic business and work with a dedicated team to maintain and develop their strong market position as one of the leading European producers of photovoltaic modules and systems.
Responsibilities:-
- · Your responsibilities include the management of our technology team for photovoltaic cell and module material development as well as product development for the PV module business.
- · You initiate and are responsible for all research and development projects for PV modules and their constituent materials and promote the constant development of our products
- · As a technology expert, you act at the interface with our key raw materials suppliers and work with the Purchasing team to develop these contacts further, assess new suppliers, and support the assessment and clearance of material
- · You monitor technological developments and trends and represent them at industry bodies, trade fairs, and conferences
- · With your academic background, you promote intensive networking with research institutions, academic cooperation partners, and other external partners.
- · You use your professional know-how to manage strategic projects in cooperation with their corporate subsidiaries
- · You define and continuously optimize all relevant interfaces and processes in your department and with the other areas of the business.
- · You lead a committed and motivated team of academics and promote the continued development of your people
Education:-
- · Bachelors degree in the field (preferably in the natural sciences / engineering); a postgraduate doctorate is an advantage.
Core Requirements:-
- Strong track record in the photovoltaic industry, with particular focus on solar cells, PV modules, and their constituent materials
- Through your academic background you should have constructive network contacts with relevant institutes and academic institutions in the field
- Possess in-depth expertise in the fields of materials research and/or product development
- Possess experience with rating and developing supplier and strategic partners
- Strong leadership experience and can handle staff motivation and development tools effectively.
General Requirements:-
- · Ability to manage projects and resources to meet deadlines
- · Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry
- · Strong technical leadership, communication and motivation skills
Key Skills:-
Solar PV, R&D experience with solar cells, PV modules, and their constituent materials, materials research and/or product development experience, project management experience and team leadership.
