The Director of Philanthropy will be the primary “go to” individual for the development staff in the field. The Director will help establish goals, provide resources, and determine what support can be provided to them to enhance the functioning of the development organization. The six current development professionals have extensive experience in the development field. The initial focus will be on listening, mentoring, and understanding the complexities of the Mass Audubon sanctuary system and how it relates to the development process. Building a similar relationship with the three Regional Directors (each oversees 8 sanctuaries) will be essential as well.
