Description

WCMC is now recruiting a permanent Director of People. This position will lead our HR activities, ensuring that we employ and retain skilled and motivated staff to support our portfolio of biodiversity projects.

As Director of People, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will join the Senior Management Team, where you will contribute towards the strategic leadership of the Centre. Managing a small team of HR professionals, you will be equally comfortable providing operational HR support to our programme teams, as you will be to drive forward strategic HR solutions in response to our new People Strategy.

You will be MCIPD qualified with extensive experience of delivering effective HR support, preferably in related organisations. You will bring your exceptional interpersonal skills to the post, where you will develop productive relationships with your colleagues across the Centre and will take time to consider the challenges to propose effective and relevant solutions. With a focus on our employee engagement, strategic impact and a desire for continuous development, you will be results orientated, with the drive to see things through to a successful outcome.
