The South Florida Wildlife Center (SFWC) is seeking a Director of Operations to support the Executive Director in all aspects of the Center’s management and operations.  Duties include overseeing all daily operational functions, supervising managers, assessing needs and providing direction that results in optimum animal care and facility management.  Other duties include maintaining necessary licenses and permits, procuring supplies and maintaining assets, assisting with fundraising efforts, working with the Executive Director in developing and implementing facility policies and standards, assisting in managing the budget and approving expenditures, and other duties and special projects as needed.  Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience required.  Experience in the animal care field, including rehabilitation/release program best practices, animal nutrition and husbandry, habitat design, and enrichment strongly preferred.  Prior supervisory and leadership experience, superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously all highly desired.
