We seek a Director of Disbursements to provide oversight to the Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Payroll (Disbursements) areas. The Director of Disbursements will ensure thorough reviews of disbursements prior to release, engage managers/directors across the organization on continuous process improvements to customer service for Disbursements and other areas, ensure the systems are in place for accurate recording and reporting of NWF's Disbursements’ financial transactions. He or she will develop communication and trainings on disbursement policies, procedures and practices; work with IT on systems' upgrades, testing, and work flow improvements to take advantage of automating interfaces between modules (A/P interface to Fixed Assets and Payroll/HRMS); and be responsible for the preparation of the following external reports for NWF and its related entities: Federal lobbying reports; state and locality filings/registrations and reporting. In addition, the Director of Disbursements will engage CFO, Controller, and other senior Finance leadership team members on cross-functional projects, keeping the CFO informed of new developments and potential issues in a timely manner, and ensure NWF complies with all government (IRS, states and other localities) tax regulations, GAAP reporting, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
