Job Title: Director of Development Position reports to: President, Friends of the Earth Position Location: Washington, DC Friends of the Earth-United States is fighting to defend the environment and create a healthy and just world. Our campaign tools include incisive policy analysis, grassroots mobilization, a robust media presence, and an energetic and aggressive staff. Our 40 years of work in the United States is amplified by Friends of the Earth International, the world's largest grassroots environmental network, uniting 76 national member groups and some 5,000 local activist groups on every continent. Friends of the Earth-U.S. has offices in Washington, DC and San Francisco, CA. Basic Function Friends of the Earth-United States is a progressive environmental advocacy organization seeking an energetic team member to lead all aspects of development. The candidate will work closely with the President to secure and expand the organization’s $4.5 million budget. The development director will oversee the positions of Foundations Director, Donor Services Manager and Development Associate. Responsibilities This is a full-time exempt position based in Washington, D.C. that reports to the President of Friends of the Earth.
