The Director of Channel Development will be responsible for building a multi-tiered distribution channel, consisting of construction partners, electrical distributors, and other wholesale distribution outlets.  We are seeking a motivated leader with a demonstrated record of building multi-tiered national and international distribution channels.   Must be able to thrive in a fast paced high growth environment. 30-40% travel, mostly US/Europe.

 Responsibilities:

  • Defining the appropriate strategy for multi-tiered distribution of Suniva products
  • Developing pricing and incentive guidelines for each tier of the channel
  • Targeting and acquiring distribution partners
  • Developing ongoing account strategies that maximize the distribution opportunity for each partner
  • Specific sales experience with PV modules, PV system integration, or PV project development a plus.
  • Collaborating with Suniva’s direct sales team to ensure smooth interaction and reduce conflict within Suniva’s multiple sales channels
  • Tracking sales activities and pipeline in Suniva’s CRM system
  • Interpersonal and communication skills: The successful candidate is a team player who will interact with key Suniva departments (Operations, Engineering. Marketing, Finance) to successfully perform his / her job.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

 Requirements (do not apply without these):

  • 8+ years of experience in channel development
  • Successfully built and managed global distribution network(s) in multi-channel equipment, construction supply, or high technology (hardware) environment
  • Existing network of relevant partners (EPC, electrical distributors, commercial solar)  
  • Specific Solar / PV sales experience preferred
