Description: groSolar is a leader in the engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic projects across the U.S. This position will support the company’s mission of developing, financing, constructing, and operating solar projects.

This position will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing commercial and utility-scale solar project opportunities which are typically greater than 1 MW in size. The person filling this position will be a consummate team player and be a self-starting, creative, and motivated individual who has a proven history of successfully developing energy projects. This individual would thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment and be an accomplished leader.
Duties: • Identify, generate, and evaluate project development opportunities and have the ability to creatively resolve obstacles and challenges during the development cycle of a project.
• Understand the incentives, tax environment, financing, and energy cost structure within the respective regions the Company operates in.
• Have the ability to develop, negotiate, and close power purchase agreements with commercial, municipal, and utility clients.
• Assess development opportunities and have the ability to effectively communicate project plans, challenges, and necessary outcomes.
• Review and secure sites for solar projects with land and building owners and municipal officials.
• Present the company and its capabilities, including options for project financing, to prospective clients.
• Prepare and deliver proposals and RFP responses.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects and projects.
Qualifications: • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy project development, with at least 3 years in solar project development
• Ability to travel
