Director of Business Development (solar industry), Munich, Germany

My client is a multinational solar product manufacturer, manufacturing panels, wafers and solar cell products. They have operations spanning across North America, South-East Asia and Europe. As part of their expansion are looking to recruit a senior candidate to join their team as the director of business development for Germany.

Responsibilities:-

• Launch  and Market Development of solar module products
• Analysing the clients needs and developing proposals to fit their criteria
• Discuss different options and explain the benefits of solar modules
• Negotiating terms and closing deals
• Working in conjuction with the development, sales and project finance teams
• planning and organizing of projects/ products
• Generating leads and arrange client visits with a view to pitching solar products / projects

• Define and set up the strategic growth of the country and  guarantee the economic performance of the business units

Requirements:-

• You will have at least 5-7 years of business development experience, with an excellent track record
• Must have a solid solar PV background
• Excellent knowledge of manufacturing solar modules
• Ability to travel frequently to client sites
• You MUST be fluent in German (English, French, Spanish or italian desirable) and have the ability to work in Germany
• Experience in selling modules to IPPs, integrators and developers
• Must have strong educational background (MBA would be desirable)
• Must have strong leadership skills
