SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

This position will provide financial leadership and primary finance decision support. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, communication of all estimation and actual reporting with MEMC, development and maintenance of parameter driven financial models (P&L, balance sheet, & cash flow) for short and long term strategic planning and market analysis, and make vs. buy modeling, definition and creation of standardized reports that are system driven, and development of key drivers and metrics for the business unit. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o    Maintain corporate planning and reporting consolidation processes. Primary point of contact with our corporate parent MEMC on all planning and estimation matters.
o    Assist in the development and implementation of processes that are SOX compliant and provide a robust and scalable infrastructure for financial analytics world wide.
o    Provide analytical support to Sr. Management for make vs. buy decisions, modeling the financial impact of long term sales and supplier contracts, providing financial justification for capital procurement, etc. 
o    Development of detailed product cost models for various project scenarios.
o    Model and Forecast project based revenue and cogs and the associated impact to the financial statements (P&L, BS, and cash flow).
o    Generate forecast spending based on cross functional input and trend analyses (fixed and variable).
o    Work with IT and others on the finance and accounting team to implement system, reporting, and process improvements.
o    Ad-hoc modeling of capital expenditures, R&D expenditure, and new business initiatives, etc. 
o    Coordinate global consolidation of monthly business area/legal entity results. 
o    Coordinate global submission of monthly financial results. Includes quarterly supplemental files, tax, audit, SOX, insurance data. 
o    Generate internal management reporting and performance variance analysis.
o    Manage compilation, analysis, submission, reporting of monthly financial forecasts, annual budget, and strategic plan. 
o    Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting. Focus on driving top-line growth, margin expansion, cash flow improvements, and value creation from acquisitions. 

QUALIFICATIONS

o    Minimum 7 years of financial experience at a multi-national company experiencing rapid growth
o    Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
o    CPA strongly preferred along with public accounting experience
o    Proven interaction and problem solving with operational teams
o    Demonstrated FP&A experience at the Corporate or Group level 
o    Experience preparing and consolidating long-range plans, annual budgets, short-term plans, and monthly rolling forecasts 
o    Good understanding of GAAP and hands-on experience performing financial close related activities 
o    Deep understanding of financial statements and their inter-relationships 
o    Understanding of inventory costing and transaction flow 
o    Good understanding desired of Oracle and Timberline
o    Ability to research and identify problems, develop proposals, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others 
o    Strong financial acumen with the ability to solve complex problems 
o    Focus on critical thinking with the ability to drive decisions and execute effectively 
o    Attention to detail, but ability to summarize into key points/ actionable items 
o    Strategic thinker who can manage long and short term projects 
o    Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
o    Experience working with non US entities and foreign exchange impacts 
o    Ability to thrive and manage change in a high growth environment 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines.
Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems.

The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting.
