This is a temporary position to cover for a maternity leave from beginning of November 2015 till end of August 2016. The position will coordinate closely with the European Energy Transition Programme Director.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of the Climate and Sustainable Development programme, including planning and implementing activities such as debates, workshops, visitor programmes and publications
- Managing the factual and budgetary correctness of expenditures generated by the programme’s activities
- Compiling financial and thematic reporting and monitoring of activities as well as project overviews and reviews
- Providing analysis of political processes related to the programme’s thematic activities
- Strategic planning and coordination with the headquarters of the foundation as well as its international offices and partners worldwide
- Support and policy advice for delegations from Europe and other parts of the world and responding to requests regarding the thematic issues of the programme
- Developing and maintaining a network of contacts and partners for the programme’s activities
- Involving partner institutions as well as coordinating and consulting with partners during implementation of the programme’s activities
Requirements:
- A university degree, preferably in a field connected to climate or development policy
- At least 3 years relevant work experience including in project management, work experience with EU institutions as asset
- Solid knowledge of EU climate policies and European decision-making processes
- Very good knowledge of German and English, other languages as asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of and interest in Green policies
- Reliable, stress-resistant and enthusiastic team player with intercultural competence
- Readiness to travel occasionally
