Description

This is a temporary position to cover for a maternity leave from beginning of November 2015 till end of August 2016. The position will coordinate closely with the European Energy Transition Programme Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of the Climate and Sustainable Development programme, including planning and implementing activities such as debates, workshops, visitor programmes and publications
  • Managing the  factual and budgetary correctness of expenditures generated by the programme’s activities
  • Compiling financial and thematic reporting and monitoring of activities as well as project overviews and reviews
  • Providing analysis of political processes related to the programme’s thematic activities
  • Strategic planning and coordination with the headquarters of the foundation as well as its international offices and partners worldwide
  • Support and policy advice for delegations from Europe and other parts of the world and responding to requests regarding the thematic issues of the programme
  • Developing and maintaining a network of contacts and partners for the programme’s activities
  • Involving partner institutions as well as coordinating and consulting with partners during implementation of the programme’s activities

Requirements:

  • A university degree, preferably in a field connected to climate or development policy
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience including in project management, work experience with EU institutions as asset
  • Solid knowledge of EU climate policies and European decision-making processes
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, other languages as asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of and interest in Green policies
  • Reliable, stress-resistant and enthusiastic team player with intercultural competence
  • Readiness to travel occasionally
