The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Director for its Cape Wildlife Center.  The main responsibility of this position is to manage the operations and fiscal activities of the center.  Other duties include, but are not limited to: insure operational compliance with regulatory agencies; develop, cultivate and retain donor base to achieve revenue goals and sustainability; generate public and donor interests; drive development of all aspects of communications with publications and online materials and websites; insure development and implementation of facility policies and standards of operations.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in animal related field and five years of fundraising experience in a not-for-profit environment highly desired.  Experience and demonstrated involvement with animal welfare is required.  Minimum five years of management/supervisory experience preferred.  Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and writing for diverse audiences desired.  The salary range for this position is from the low $60’s to the low $70’s.
