CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere provides the knowledge to manage Australia's marine estate and atmospheric environment, plan for and respond to weather and climate related natural hazards and ensure sustainable coastal development and growth of marine industries. As the Business Unit Leader, the Director will be responsible for organization-wide leadership in Oceans & Atmosphere research and development. This will encompass direct leadership of a core business unit and the fostering of linkages to other relevant parts of the organisation around the blue economy, climate, fisheries, coasts and offshore resource development. This will involve:
The role requires global market knowledge and domain expertise to shape CSIRO Ocean and Atmosphere’s business and will be expected to build on CSIRO’s track record in driving commercial outcomes, and delivering national impact in this area.
