The Client Segment Industry & Large Corporations serves (energy intensive) industries, financial sector clients and commercial end-users in multiple global value chains in navigating a complex world of energy transition and climate change, and in realizing sustainable, available, reliable, and profitable products, processes and business models. Our strength lies in strategic understanding of complex energy transition, climate and sustainability issues as well as understanding the core business of our clients. The Client Segment is positioned as the trusted and independent advisor giving strategic advice at corporate decision-making level; the thought leader bringing innovative solutions, from knowledge to insight to impact (help make it happen). Specifically, we serve our clients regarding reducing energy and climate risks, taking corporate climate action, capturing opportunities from the energy transition and realizing industrial de-carbonization. The Client Segment currently has a focus on North America, and in the EME region specifically on the UK, France and the Netherlands. We are looking to expand our offerings in this space to Germany.


We are looking for a Director (Consulting), to work in a highly performing client segment team, with experience and an understanding of the Global industry landscape, to develop, shape and deliver Strategic and Technical Advisory services regarding industrial energy strategies and corporate climate and sustainability services. Focus will be on establishing client relations and growing sales at decision-maker level. The actual delivery of consulting projects will be done by consultants mostly organized in the Transformation Offering Sustainable Solutions.




  • Contribute to the overall growth strategy via Business and Practice Development
  • Develop a go-to market strategy for our targeted client base in Germany
  • Collaborate across practices to bring the best of all Navigant service lines and offerings to clients
  • Forge new client relationships and contribute to the practice’s overall client delivery capacity
  • Create a strong, sustainable pipeline of business based on these service offering
  • Create and manage a steady flow of sustainable revenue



  • Develop new and compelling Sustainable Industry consulting services assisting clients to be successful in the highly competitive tendering environment



If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and you meet the following criteria, then we would be happy to meet you!

  • University degree from a leading institution; qualified with outstanding academic results in natural sciences, engineering or an MBA
  • 10 years or more of relevant work experience (managing position within consultancy business);
  • Proven track record in sales, strong commercially orientated approach and business skills in identifying and exploiting opportunities in a competitive market;
  • Experience in managing knowledge workers and leading diverse, multi-disciplinary, international teams;
  • Ability to support project managers on large and complex projects;
  • Excellent German and English language skills. Dutch or French language skills are considered a bonus.

  • Ability to create, maintain and enhances long-term relationships with clients to ensure client satisfaction and generate opportunities for others within the firm
  • A deep understanding of the current trends, issues, and best practices in industrial energy consumption and climate action, and the changing role of (energy-intensive) industry in the energy landscape
  • Ability to engage with potential clients to understand their challenges and needs, shape and recommend solutions, and close sales opportunities
  • Ability to develop a robust pipeline of qualified and developed opportunities, converting into annuity revenue streams
  • Ability to collaborate, building effective working relationships with direct reports and professionals across the business
  • Ability to oversee multiple, million-euro plus engagements and a reference list of satisfied clients



  • The ability to create new, market ready consulting offerings in the area of strategic and technical advisory services for industrial energy users
