Description

Compassion in World Farming is recognised as the leading international farm animal welfare organisation, actively campaigning to improve the lives of farmed animals around the world. Compassion carries out hard-hitting political lobbying in the UK, EU and internationally, whilst undertaking investigations and campaigns designed to achieve better standards of welfare and happier lives for farmed animals.

An opportunity has arisen for an accomplished direct marketing professional to join the fundraising team for an 18-month contract, covering maternity leave for the existing post-holder.

The post is based at the Compassion in World Farming headquarters in Godalming, Surrey (45 minutes from London Waterloo). Compassion in World Farming is based 3 minutes’ walk from Godalming mainline station.

Reporting to the Direct Marketing Manager, the Direct Marketing Co-ordinator will have responsibility for managing a programme of targeted communications campaigns, focussing on donor development but with input into donor recruitment activity.

The successful applicant will have a track record of delivering effective direct marketing campaigns across a range of media, ideally within a fundraising environment. With excellent project management and organisational skills, you will also have a passion for campaign analysis and evaluation.

Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as are a confident disposition and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliers. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, have the ability to work autonomously, but will enjoy working with the full input and support of the team and organisation as a whole.
