In our projects, we deal with the technical, regulatory and economic issues that arise in the context of a sustainable electricity supply under changing framework conditions. Our unit, Power Systems and Markets, deals with the particular challenges involved integrating of renewable energy sources into power supply systems and markets with innovative concepts such as storage, smart grids and super grids. In your diploma or master thesis, you model power systems with large amounts of generation based on renewable energies and develop innovative solutions for interesting questions from the practice. You gather insight into running projects and contribute to them with your study results. You will have time for technical discussions and gain teamworking skill at the same time. Your monthly stipend amounts to € 400.
Your profile If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and you meet the following criteria, then we would be happy to meet you!
• Enrolled in a University’s programme for electrical engineering, power systems engineering or similar (graduate or master level) • Sound knowledge in power systems and adjacent subjects, focus on renewable energies would be ideal • Experience in power system simulation software (load flow, short circuit analysis, dynamic modelling if possible), preferably DIgSILENT PowerFactory • Highly motivated, strong communication skills, ability to work independently, highly aware of details, creative, team worker • Advanced oral and written English (German is not a precondition!)
