Description

BirdLife Malta is looking for a new full-time voluntary Digital Media Assistant to join their international team as part of the Erasmus+ European Voluntary Service (EVS).

Starting: June 2016

Length of placement: 8-10 months, depending on individual agreement

Costs: All living and travel costs covered and accommodation provided

Apply by: May 24th, 2016.

Are you:

  • Aged 18-30 and an EU citizen
  • Interested in bird conservation and environment protection
  • Familiar with design, video and photo editing software; having photography and filming skills
  • Willing to learn and having an adaptable work attitude commensurate with the needs of a charitable organisational structure including working flexible and occasional long hours
  • Self-organised and punctual
  • Friendly, keen to meet new people, socialise and experience a different culture

 

Main duties:

  • Designing printed materials including the organization’s magazine, educational materials, promotional leaflets, banners and other materials
  • Producing visuals for website, social media or advertising
  • Attending BirdLife Malta events as photographer and videographer
  • Maintaining relevant equipement
  • Producing and editing video and photo materials for communications use or investigation
  • Updating, organising and maintaining the digital media library
  • Identifying and selecting suitable digital material for press, social media, website, and design

 

Additional duties:

  • Contributing to website and social media management, article contributions
