Description

We’re going ‘digital first’ and significantly transforming BirdLife Australia’s digital engagement experience and direct marketing capability, and this new role has a critical part to play, developing BirdLife’s digital supporter journey and marketing automation campaigns.

You will design and implement digital supporter campaigns to drive participation in volunteering, advocacy and fundraising activity to support our strategic objectives. You’ll have significant experience using direct and digital marketing techniques to acquire, activate and retain supporters.

This role works closely with all supporter-dependent functions, from fundraising, volunteering, campaigning to bird surveying and membership, and using strategic and operational analysis, insight and knowledge to drive increased lifetime value and engagement outcomes.

You will do this by:

  • Designing and implementing email marketing campaigns to increase supporter engagement
  • Control online and offline traffic
  • Designing and leading marketing automation strategies
  • Using segmentation and data insights to deliver the most effective supporter experience
  • Piloting, monitoring and improving supporter email campaigns
  • Cross-channel working, advising on targeted supporter experiences
  • Being an excellent communicator and championing a supporter-centric approach
  • Being collaborative and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and build effective working relationships with staff and volunteers

Status and remuneration:

This is a part time 4 days per week position (0.8 FTE), offered on a 3-year contract. This position is based at the BirdLife Australia National Office, Carlton, Melbourne.

Salary starting at $54,942 per annum (pro rata of $68,678 per annum) plus 10% Superannuation

To apply for this role you must:

  • Have relevant Marketing qualifications and experience working in a direct or digital marketing, segmentation or customer / supporter journey role
  • Have demonstrated experience working with marketing automation tools, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and / or Pardot
  • Have experience with Supporter Relationship Management systems (ideally Salesforce)
  • Data analytics and segmentation experience
  • Have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including html and email copy
  • Have valid Australian work rights with permission to work
