Devolved Administrations Strategy Manager, Scotland

The Energy Saving Trust (EST) is a primarily Government Funded, non-profit company, promoting sustainable energy solutions to households, businesses and the road transport sector. We are one of the UK's leading organisations fighting the combat climate change.

This role is a fixed term position as maternity cover for the Strategy Manager Devolved Administrations working in our Scottish office but reporting to the Head of Policy in our London office. The postholder will be the Energy Saving Trust Strategy team lead on policy and strategy issues for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Depending on experience the role could also include management responsibility for the Strategy Manager Wales (who is on a 50% secondment to the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG). The role will also involve close liaison with the Senior Strategy Manager ¿ Scotland, which is a new position (reporting to the Strategy Director and seconded 4 days a week to the Scottish Government).

An effective project manager who interacts well with colleagues and stakeholders alike, you have a good understanding of devolved issues and experience of influencing key energy stakeholders. Technical expertise that embraces energy efficiency, renewables and low carbon transport is also essential, as is the ability to construct robust commercial proposals for new business.

A convincing public speaker, you communicate the complex in easy to understand terms, enjoy leading initiatives whilst working to deadlines and thrive in a multi-discipline team environment.
