Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people experiencing fuel poverty and food insecurity. There is an opportunity to join our team in the role of Development Worker (Cycling Outreach). Reporting to the Community Engagement Team Manager, you will support the delivery of Greener Kirkcaldy’s cycling behaviour change activities and the Climate Friendly Travel (cycling) activity strand of work across Fife. We are looking for a person with a proven experience of delivering practical cycling activities and a passion for engaging communities in active travel. Experience working with volunteers is essential. And we want you to be committed to inclusion and to reaching out to people who experience barriers to participation in walking and cycling activities. You will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work with a range of people, work well in a team and use your own initiative too. You will have good knowledge of the climate emergency and sustainable transport and be enthusiastic about engaging people in carbon reduction. Hours of work: full-time or 28 hours per week (0.8 full-time equivalent).
