Development Director

Julie’s Bicycle is a not for profit organisation making sustainability intrinsic to the business, art and ethics of the creative industries. We are looking for an exceptional person with ambition, love of the arts and culture, creative flair and commitment to environmental sustainability to join our thriving team.

We have created the new position of Development Director, who will lead and deliver Julie’s Bicycle’s innovative and pioneering growth and development programme. The role will work closely with the CEO to generate a coherent and flexible business development strategy true to our mission and company objectives, building on a culture that delivers innovative thinking and strategic ambition with business return and smart communications. 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sustainable and creative business development, strategic relationship manager and effective company positioning. The post will be a key member of the senior team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive and the Board of Directors and will work across the charity Julie’s Bicycle and its trading arm, Julie’s Bicycle Trading. Trustworthiness earned through delivery of results and smart thinking will ensure the Development Director is a key voice. S/he will be a strong, organised and inspirational externally-facing advocate, capable of leading by example and setting a direction that others want to follow. S/he will have a network of contacts that they will be able to leverage.
