My client is a wind farm developer that is located in Ireland. They have expanding portfolio of projects in the onshore wind market and a rapidly expanding team of experts to oversee the development of wind farms under 50MW.

 

Position Overview:

My client requires a developer director to join their team to lead team of project managers in the initial stages of a wind farm project; this would suit a project manager or developer who is looking to move into a senior management roles and their next career move. They require someone with strong technical knowledge and experience taking projects from the planning through to development stage of the onshore wind process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • ·         You will oversee the project managers who are responsible from origination to execution, with control over land sourcing and deal making, investment strategy and project delivery
  • ·         You will work with various customers across multiple sites in the project development process of onshore wind farms
  • ·         Travel to various sites that the company has intends wind farm projects to be constructed
  • ·         Manage and co ordinate teams of developers
  • ·         As a informed wind expert you will work on an advisory role to communities and represent my client at conferences and renewable energy expo’s
  • ·         You be will encouraged the use your problem solving skills and develop them further as you progress within your career

 

Education:

You will have a relevant degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering or environmental management

 

Core Requirements:

  • ·         4-8 working in the onshore wind market
  • ·         Experience working with and liaising and negotiating with a variety of customers and investors involved in the projects
  • ·         Excellent skills working in a senior management position preferably within the renewable energy sector
  • ·         Strong level of ambition in a desire to progress within a role
  • ·         A strong commercial background and a desire to advance this skill set

 

General requirements

  • ·         Strong experience in feasibility studies, EIA and renewable energy policy
  • ·         A technical background working on wind farm projects
  • ·         Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
  • ·         The ability to travel internationally
  • ·         A keen interest in the  wind market and a desire to be part of its development in the UK

 

Key Skills:-

EIA, feasibility and pre-feasibility study experience and on shore wind experience, project planning, director, project manager and development.
