The Cape Eleuthera Foundations seeks an enthusiastic, motivated and driven individual to join its development team.  This individual must be excited to help build a development program for a young foundation with proven success and increasing potential.  The major responsibility of this administrator is to coordinate the planning and execution of the Cape Eleuthera Foundation Annual Fund—for all constituencies including major donors, Board of Directors, current parents, alumni parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty/staff, foundations, corporations, and friends of the Foundation.  This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position reporting directly to the Director of Development starting on August 1, 2011. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: 

The Annual Fund

•Set strategy to make the Annual Fund goal with Director of Development

•Plan, develop, and implement the Annual Fund for all constituencies (organizing solicitation calendar, mailings, communications, etc)

•Coordinate volunteer support for Annual Fund (alumni, parents, etc)

•Maintain the giving section of the website

Constituency Relations

•Develops and implements a coordinated annual giving set of programs to solicit contributions including mailings, corporate matching gifts, class gifts, restricted annual fund initiatives, social media solicitations, etc.

•Solicit gifts when appropriate

•Prepares reports that include constituency giving

•Organizes volunteer support

General Development Support

•Write, edit and contribute to annual grant requests and reports

•Coordinate and support advancement events (receptions, donor dinners, information sessions, etc.)

•Database support and input

•Updating and maintaining donor files

•Generating Reports

•Inputting donations

•Support communications production to ensure a consistent and effective set of advancement appeals

•General development support that is necessary on a daily and weekly basis

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree

•2-3 years in development, preferably in philanthropy or a related field

•Excellent project management and follow-up skills

•Excellent communication and computer skills

•Ability to take ownership over solicitation groups and develop fund-raising strategies

•Skilled at managing and motivating volunteers to meet goals

•Special event and/or volunteer experience

•Flexibility in work schedule

•Accuracy is a must

Benefits and Compensation:

Two year contract required with office location in the states at the Boston, MA or Lawrenceville, NJ office.  Ideally looking for an individual interested in a career in development and has long-term employment goals. Compensation includes salary commensurate with experience, paid vacation, health care insurance, professional development opportunities and eligibility to enroll in a retirement plan after two years of service.
