Salary:                £12,500 per year

Contract:             Full-time, 52-week fixed-term

Start date:           3rd March 2014

We are a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing 80 nature reserves, working to influence nature conservation across the 3 counties and educating and encouraging everyone to care for local wildlife.

We have received lottery funding to provide 10 traineeships next year for people who are committed to a career in nature conservation. The trainee scheme aims to provide the skills needed to develop a career in natural heritage conservation through training and work-based learning.  Placements will vary according to the host placement, but all traineeships will include:

  • practical conservation,
  • community engagement and environmental education,
  • leadership and management.

We are looking for self-motivated people who can demonstrate their commitment to a career in nature conservation through their life-choices and experience. You should be a good communicator, well-organised and have a flexible attitude. Our trainees should have the potential to lead others and be passionate about wildlife!

To find out more and apply, please download an application pack from the jobs page of our website http://www.bbowt.org.uk/jobs. CVs will not be accepted and we will only contact successful applicants.

The closing date for applications is 9am Monday 2nd December.
