Job Title:    Design & Production Officer
Reports to:    Communications Director
Location:    Bangalore, India

Overall Purpose of the Job
To provide Greenpeace communications a clear and distinct visual identity, by creating impactful and effective design materials, while strengthening existing ones.

To take charge of and be responsible for the production and timely delivery of design materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Design & Production Officer shall be responsible for:
  • ensuring the Greenpeace visual identity is reinforced across all media – online and offline
  • creating and executing design material across media – print, outdoor and collateral.
  • updating and maintaining a hard and soft log of all design material produced internally.
  • co-ordinating the production of print, outdoor and collateral material across the organisation.
  • establishing and maintaining a reliable and resilient network of third-party suppliers, vendors, partners and service providers.
  • establishing and maintaining best practices for environmentally sustainable print and production.
  • liaising with other Greenpeace offices within and outside the country to facilitate and streamline the flow of design materials across the organisation.
  • building and maintaining an efficient photo library, as well as ensuring efficient and effective access to resources therein.
  • proactively contributing to the overall strategic and tactical initiatives of the Communications Team


Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Communications Director from time to time.

Qualifications
•    B.F.A. from an established Arts College
•    2-3 years’ experience with a renowned advertising agency or design shop.
•    Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (esp. PhotoShop, FreeHand and InDesign)
•    Should have solid understanding of printing and production methods and processes.
•    Good communications skills, esp. in English.
•    Excellent Accounting skills
•    Strong co-ordination and team-working abilities.
•    Ability to multitask and work under stress.


Working Conditions
The pace of work is often hectic, and whilst every effort is made to maintain reasonable office hours, flexibility is required according to the demands of the job within a campaigning organization
