The RSPCA, the World's largest and oldest animal welfare organisation, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team in the South and South West Region as Deputy Manager at Millbrook Animal Centre.
The main responsibilities of the post include:
supporting the Centre Manager by taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the animal centre, managing the staff team and ensuring the welfare of the animals. Additional responsibilities include assisting with fund raising initiatives and public relations.
The successful applicant should have:
knowledge and experience of animal care, a veterinary nursing/HNC or NVQ qualification is desirable; Proven line management or supervisory experience is essential; sound administrative and organisational abilities, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
For operational reasons this post is compulsorily residential on site and will include weekend and public holiday, working on a rota basis over a 35 hour week.
