About Us: The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity founded in 1826, is a world-renowned centre of excellence for conservation science and applied conservation. ZSL’s mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. This is realised by carrying out field conservation and research in over 50 countries across the globe and through education and awareness-raising at our two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, inspiring people to take conservation action.
Overview of role: ZSL is seeking an experienced, innovative and adaptable individual to oversee and develop our multidisciplinary Conservation Programme in Indonesia. In this exciting and challenging role the successful applicant will be required to demonstrate leadership as well a supporting the Country Manager in the management and development of the Indonesian team and their work in line with ZSL Indonesia and wider programmatic strategies. This person will grow and manage ZSL Indonesia existing grant portfolio so that funds can be raised in a timely manner to implement ZSL’s conservation strategies.
The post-holder will report to the Country Manager in Indonesia and support them in the management of a team of staff based in Indonesia. Main responsibilities will include:
