The Sea Fish Industry Authority (Seafish) was established in 1981 to promote the efficiency of the seafood industry in the UK. Since then the industry has changed markedly and now Seafish faces the challenge of securing a sustainable and profitable future for a very diverse industry. Seafish is changing and needs to recruit a Deputy Chair and up to seven new Board members who can: • think strategically; • set priorities for a focussed organisation delivering for a disparate industry; • build relationships at all levels; • work well in groups with divergent opinions; • identify emerging issues; • provide oversight of the delivery of benefits to the seafood industry. The Deputy Chair and two of the members will be independent of the sea fish and sea food industry. We are also looking for up to five members who have a knowledge and understanding of the seafood industry in the UK across the whole supply chain. These are extremely rewarding roles for the right people. We are looking for enthusiasm, drive and a proven record of success in overcoming challenges.
